Two in Distress Make Sorrow less: A Work-Life Conflict Moderated Mediation Model

Drawing on the Job Demand-Resource model this paper examines influence of social comparison orientation personality trait. It is hypothesized that high will moderate negative effect job demands in health impairment process work engagement, mediated by a work-nonwork conflict. A total 510 nurses from different healthcare centres participated study. PROCESS macro was used to test simple and moderated mediation. Results demonstrate indirect engagement via work-non conflict appears only with low levels orientation. Theoretical insights literature interface into JD-R theory are integrated. The strengths employees highlighted reduce depletion resources needed cope non-work promote engagement.
